  • CALL TO ACTION FROM THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF REPUBLICAN WOMEN:

Vice President Joe Biden recently suggested that the GOP's opposition to the Democratic version of a domestic violence bill will give the green light to male violence against
    women.

    This is simply a lie.

CALL ON THE WHITE HOUSE AND SENATE DEMOCRATS TO STOP
    TELLING LIES ABOUT WOMEN!

  • DCRW COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Just a reminder to bring your non-perishable food items, cash donations and gift cards for the charity drive again in May.  We received much needed donations and gift cards/cash at our April meeting and look forward to your involvement again for this very worthy cause.  All donated items will be given to the Douglas/Elbert County Task Force.  A very warm thank you to those individuals who donated in April.

    Thanks,

  • Recap of February DISTRICT 2 County Commissioner Forum

We just want to say "thank you" to all the members, officials, guests and candidates who participated in the March Commissioner Debate for District 2.  Roger Partridge and Randy Reed did a great job handling questions from the audience and really provided a wonderful perspective on their qualifications and experience for the attendees.  We certainly appreciated the audience's participation in the debate and making it compelling and exciting.  We look forward to your attendance and participation in the future.

    Thank you.

    Margo Knutson

  • Penn Pfiffner Speaker for April 2012 Meeting

We are excited to host Penn Pfiffner for a “Basic Economics Lesson” at our April luncheon.  Penn currently is a Senior Fellow of the Independence Institute, a board member and former President of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers and the current Chair of the TABOR Committee.  Penn was an early leader and proponent of TABOR, serving as a Regional Coordinator in the 1986 effort and holds a myriad of other esteemed and respected positions with various financial and/or other related organizations.

As you know, we are in a financial crisis.  We cannot sustain the fiscal path we are on at the rate we are going.  The security of our nation is in jeopardy.  The futures of our kids and grandkids are at stake.  This will be an important and critical “economics” discussion, and we hope it will provide a more in-depth understanding to you about our current financial situation not only here in Colorado but nationally.  As we all know, the economy touches every part of our lives, and we believe this luncheon will aid in giving you more information that you can share with others and use for yourselves.  We look forward to your participation and attendance.

  • CFRW update

Time is fast approaching for the CFRW Spring Convention being held in Colorado Springs on March 31st-April 1st.   President Perry Buck has a great Convention planned entitled “CFRW 101” which will inspire and train us and our clubs to become the best that we can be as Republicans!  It is a wonderful time to be able to meet and learn from Republican women from all over the State.

ALSO, don’t forget about the Day at the Legislature on Monday, April 2nd!  This is always a fun day where we meet with our legislators in the morning, observe both the House and Senate in session, have our picture taken on the steps of the Capitol, and then walk a short distance over to

  • Important! Luncheon Costs Going UP!

We’re sorry to announce that the price for our luncheons will now cost us $20 each month instead of $18. This increase was predicated by Lone Tree Hotel raising the cost to us by $2.00 per person starting in January 2012. It has been quite a few years since Lone Tree Hotel has had to raise their prices but they had to pass on this increase to us at this time. The Pay Pal option will remain the same at $1.00 per luncheon so, if you’re paying with that option, the charge will be $21.00. You can still pay the $20 at the door with a prior reservation. Walk-ins with no prior reservation will be charged $25 if space is available. Again, we regret this price increase but it is beyond our control.

  • We Believe

That the right of the individual to achieve the best that is within him, as long as he respects the rights of others, is the source of our Nation's strength.

That government exists to protect the freedom of opportunity in which each individual's creative ability can flourish.

That government activities should be limited to those things which people cannot do at all, or cannot do so well themselves.

That the most effective government is government closest to the people.
