  • Robert B. Wareham

    Robert B. Wareham is not just another lawyer. In fact, he’s a man with a background as diverse as the agency he seeks to lead. As the recipient of numerous honors and awards, Robert’s resume includes: serving as a Robert Warehampolice officer during college and the Mayor of his town at the age of 28, acquiring 30 years of management and executive experience working in the private sector, and achieving success as an experienced and respected litigation attorney. Robert is no stranger to hard work, and his academic honors in law school at the age of 42--while simultaneously advancing his career with Lucent Technologies-- illustrates perfectly his dogged determination and consummate commitment to excellence. Two weeks after taking the attorney oath in California, Robert was transferred to Lucent’s global training organization in Colorado, where he led the Fortune 50 Company’s sales force into the next generation of communication technology. Within five years, Robert was once again promoted to head Lucent’s multi-million dollar global sales training organization.

  • John Topolnicki

    John is a Colorado native and acquired his law degree from the University of Colorado while working as a janitor, night watchman, freight handler, and law clerk drafting statutes for Colorado’s Fish, Wildlife & Parks John TopolnickiDivisions.  Married to Teri in 1966, they live in Castle Rock and are blessed with two successful sons, wonderful daughter-in-laws, two grandchildren, and Sidney their African Gray parrot.

  • Leslie Hansen

    Leslie has lived in Colorado since 1978.  She attended the University of Colorado and obtained her law degree from the University of Denver in 1984.  Leslie interned with the Denver District Attorney’s Office andLeslie Hansen became a deputy district attorney when she graduated from law school.  As a deputy district attorney, Leslie handled hundreds of felony cases and conducted over fifty jury trials, including several sexual assault cases, habitual criminal cases and 10 first degree murder cases.  Leslie was in private practice for several years specializing in family law and employment law.  Leslie became the Assistant District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District in January 2005.

    I am a husband, father of four small children (9, 7, 4, and 2), recent U.S. Army veteran of the Iraq War, a Conservative, and leader with extensive prosecution experience who is seeking the honor of serving you as our first District Attorney to come from outside of the DA’s bureaucracy since 19 years before Tim Tebow was born.George Brauchler

  • At the February Meeting and not to be missed: DA CANDIDATE FORUM/DEBATE

    Cadidates for DADid you know that there are 22 Judicial Districts in the State of Colorado, some made up of a single county, like Denver, and others, like the 18th, made up of multiple counties?  Did you know that each Judicial District has an elected District Attorney who is the chief law enforcement officer for that district?  Did you know that the 18th Judicial District is the largest Judicial District in the State of Colorado?  Did you know that the 18th Judicial encompasses four counties - Douglas, Arapahoe, Elbert and Lincoln?   The background and experience of this District Attorney is critical to the success of this office.  To learn more about our fair and impartial system of justice and to get to know the Republican candidates running for this very important position, please join us at the February 15th  "DA Debate.”

    Special thanks to Debbie Gamec for the great job she’s doing as Chairman of our Military Project!   As you know, we have baskets on each of the luncheon tables where our members so generously contribute money each month.  These monies go toward our Military Project and Debbie coordinates, purchases, packs, and ships gift boxes to our military personnel overseas to bring “a little bit of home” to them.  I know this is a project close to her heart and we all thank her for her time and efforts in fulfilling this worthwhile cause!   If you have any family or friends who are serving overseas, please give his/her name to Debbie so she can add them to her giving list.  Deb can be reach at bistyd@aol.com or 303-688-3816.   Great job, Deb!!

                 I would like to take the opportunity to thank the last Board for the tremendous amount of work that they’ve accomplished on behalf of DCRW! There are not enough words to thank them for the great job they did in fulfilling their elected positions!  In case you may not know, here’s just a little of what they do:

  • CFRW update

    PLAN NOW . . .

    to attend the CFRW Convention on March 31st and April 1st at the Crown Plaza in Colorado Springs.  Board Meeting will be in the evening of March 30th, General Meeting on March 31st, and a non-denominational Palm Sunday Service on April 1st.   Special room rates available.  President Perry Buck, her Board, and Presidents of the Colorado Republican Womens Clubs are working very hard to make this an informative, educational and fun event for all Republican women.  This is a great opportunity to meet and learn from other Republican women all over Colorado!  Please plan to attend as we would really like to have a great turnout from DCRW!  Mark your calendar NOW.  More details to follow.

  • Important! Luncheon Costs Going UP!

    We’re sorry to announce that the price for our luncheons will now cost us $20 each month instead of $18. This increase was predicated by Lone Tree Hotel raising the cost to us by $2.00 per person starting in January 2012. It has been quite a few years since Lone Tree Hotel has had to raise their prices but they had to pass on this increase to us at this time. The Pay Pal option will remain the same at $1.00 per luncheon so, if you’re paying with that option, the charge will be $21.00. You can still pay the $20 at the door with a prior reservation. Walk-ins with no prior reservation will be charged $25 if space is available. Again, we regret this price increase but it is beyond our control.
