Welcome to February 2022, DCRW Members! I am proud to say that our work each day to support and build up other Republicans directly contributes to building an America where freedom truly flourishes. Still, we all must remain dedicated to educating Americans about the consequences our great nation will face if Republicans aren’t elected in November. We are up against the most radical, liberal ticket in American history, with their own set of promises to hike our taxes, open our borders to illegals and drugs, defund our police, and so much more. To start the New Year, I want to thank the amazing group of patriots that make up the DCRW membership for their continued support. 2022 is a year that can bring great change to the state of Colorado and to our country, but we need help from all of you to accomplish this change. We will work hard to bring you the most relevant speakers, candidates and information to help you make an informed decision before the time comes to vote. This year, we must get actively involved and help make phone calls, knock on doors and get the word out about our great Republican candidates.  This is the year that together we can help the voters understand how important it is to vote conservative, or to suffer the consequences of inaction.…

Once again, time has flown by and we look forward to seeing you this month, at our last meeting of the year. We have elected new officers for the National Federation of Republican Women and the Colorado Federation of Republican Women.  These women will begin serving in January of 2022. We will elect officers who will serve DCRW in 2022-2023 at our November 17th meeting. As I mentioned in October the word of the year for Republican Women of Colorado in 2022 is FREEDOM.  We are going to have to work harder than ever, because there are those who are trying to take that FREEDOM from us. It is hard to believe that after our October meeting, we only have one more meeting left in 2021! Time flies! I just returned from the National Federation of Republican Women 41st Biennial Convention in Orlando.  As always, it was a spectacular event, hearing from: Ron DeSantis, Governor, Florida Mike Huckabee, Former Governor, Arkansas Claudia Tenney, Congresswoman, New York Michael McCaul, Congressman, Texas Gordon Chang, One of America’s foremost experts on China Kat Cammack, Youngest Republican in Congress from Florida Kristi Noem, Governor, South Dakota Tim Scott, Senator, South Carolina One of my favorite Brits, Katie Hopkins, spoke. She made a statement that we must all remember, saying, “You Americans are different, you have freedom in your soul.” I believe it’s true, and it certainly gave me goose bumps. Our…

Our summer recess is over, and our September meeting is just around the corner. We will be electing a Nominating Committee at this meeting to put together a slate of officers to be presented at the October meeting and voted on by members at the November meeting. If you missed the August picnic we hosted with The Lincoln Club of Colorado, you missed a great time. We had almost 200 men, women and children registered! You need to put it on your “must do” event list for next year. Also, please plan to sign up as a helper, as we could have used a few more hands. We are looking forward to another IN PERSON meeting of Douglas County Republican Women on May 19th. An overwhelming majority of voters are not impressed by Joe Biden’s first 100 days in office, but that makes no difference to the violent Left who want their favored policies regardless of whether Americans support them or not.  The Left seems to know what is better for America, and it is not democracy, it is their progressive policies.  We will be subjected to these policies whether they are right for America or not.  In just over 100 days Biden has ended programs to curb illegal immigration, delayed or even stopped the deportation of many of those caught illegally entering our nation, and is barring the media and elected officials from touring or photographing the truth…

On March 27th, the Colorado Republican Party elected their new state officers.  We now have an ALL-FEMALE leadership team: Marilyn Harris - past CFRW President, Priscilla Rahn and Kristi Burton Brown.  All three of these fantastic women are members of the Colorado Federation of Republican Women, one is even a past President of CFRW! They are members of our team and it is our job to get in line to support them in their goal to move our Colorado Republicans forward in the right direction. If ever there was a reason for us to stay informed and to educate those who are not as to what is going on in our country and how much work there is to be done, here it is: Biden and company are set to borrow more money over the next 12 months than the U.S. government borrowed to finance the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, and the Cold War combined. This leads me back to what you are going to hear me repeat over and over, from Albert Einstein, “Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance, you must keep moving.” We cannot sit back and do nothing, we must get on and stay on that Republican bicycle and go forward…

WELCOME BACK, I am so delighted to host an in person meeting February 17th, with a great speaker, Ben Martin who is a Constitution expert. We are all Zoom fatigued and this meeting will give us a chance to start getting back to, do I dare say, normal. Please make your reservation now, because with COVID limiting headcounts, we must know how many are coming. This is a new year, starting a month late, but starting. Dues are due, we have begun working on our 2021 Membership Directory and if your dues are not paid by February 17th, you will miss being in the Directory. The Board decided to host our October meeting on Zoom, because our discussion of ballot issues this month makes it imperative to get this information to as many DCRW Members as possible.  The number of members we can reach in person is very limited.  Please do register and plan to attend so you can be educated on these issues and be in a position to advise those you know who either don’t know about them or have been ill advised.  We need as many votes on all issues in the right direction as possible.
