You know when you’re eating a breakfast sandwich and the eggs are salty, the bacon is crispy, the cheese is melty? And everything seems to come together perfectly for one glorious moment? That is what will happen at our February meeting with Abraham Lincoln as our speaker bringing a different message than he had last year.
We all see people at our monthly meetings that we look at and wonder ‘are they a new member, are they visiting with someone, are they an old member who hasn’t been here for a while?’ or worse scenario ‘are they a regular member that I have failed to introduce myself to?’ Let’s set a goal this year to introduce ourselves to anyone we see that we don’t know, a 2019 goal to make everyone feel so welcome that they want to come back next month and bring their friends. Invite someone who looks like they are by themselves to sit with you.
By the time our February meeting is here, we will have heard the President’s State Of The Union Address, know who won the Super Bowl, celebrated Valentines Day, and elected new Douglas County Republican officers. A lot is happening in the shortest month of the year.
