Our November meeting will be a little earlier in the month so we don’t interfere with anyone’s Thanksgiving plans. Starting with our November meeting, our reservation deadline is 8pm on Wednesday prior to our meeting. This month we will have our regular ‘Thanksgiving Lunch’ that Lone Tree does so well.
I want to give a big ‘Thanks’ to Mona Weaver and Juli James for co-chairing our auction at our October meeting and to everyone who helped to make it a success, by donating auction items, helping with the setup, checking out, making cash donations, bidding and purchasing items. Because of everyone’s help, we were able to donate $5,000 each to the Senate Majority Fund and the House ‘Values First Colorado’ Fund. The next time you see John Anderson or Frank McNulty, remember to thank them for being auctioneers and helping to increase the funds we were able to raise.
This month our ‘bucket money’ will go to the Help & Hope Center (Douglas/Elbert Task Force). Please make checks payable to Douglas Elbert Task Force.
We will be voting on the Bylaws and Standing Rules changes/updates at the November meeting. Please review them prior to the meeting.
Our dues are due now, and we plan to provide you our new directory by the February meeting. Please come prepared to pay your 2019 dues at the November meeting, since we won’t be meeting in December. If you joined in September or October, those dues were held to pay for 2019, so you won’t pay again until next November.
Since our meeting is after November 6th, Election Day, it is my sincere hope, desire and prayer that we are in a position to be ‘Thankful’ for a successful election. In order to help make this happen, PLEASE TURN IN YOUR BALLOTS RIGHT AWAY. IT IS TOO LATE TO MAIL THEM, THEY MUST BE TAKEN TO A DROP BOX LOCATION.
